What is Twitter?

Twitter is an information network made up small messages called Tweets. It's a new and easy way to discover the latest news ("what's happening") related to subjects you care about.

How is it Useful?

Twitter contains information you will find valuable. Messages from users you choose to follow will show up on your homepage for you to read. It's like being delivered a newspaper whose headlines you'll always find interesting - you can discover news as it's happening, learn more about topics that are important to you, and get the inside scoop in real time.

Getting started is easy!

1. Sign Up

On your phone: text 40404 with word 'start' - its that simple!
On your computer: Browse to http://twitter.com and click on Sign Up!

2. Follow your interests

On Phone - text 'follow mockcrest' or 'follow greeleyavenue' to 40404
On Computer - LOGIN and go to http://twitter.com/MockCrest or http://twitter.com/GreeleyAvenue
and click on "Follow"

3. Read Messages

LOGIN to your page, http://twitter.com/yourname, you can read tweets from people and businesses you are following. Or if you would like to get tweets on your phone, type 'follow' and the username or business name and it will happen!

4. Write tweets!

Join in my tweeting on topics of interest to you, or retweet (resend) tweets of others to your followers.
